This year we introduce an exciting new event, the Miss Tootsie pageant and this is one you will have to see to believe! A summer festival would be nothing without great food and ice cold beverages and we will be hosting a mouthwatering Rib Fest contest, a corn and brat feed along with great food vendors and a beer garden to keep everyone satisfied.
Parades, Contests, and More
Marvel at the display of vintage cars as we join the Classic Cruisers in Central Park on Saturday. There is something for every member of the family at Ox Cart Days; a kiddie parade, duck races, bouncy house, build a stuffed animal workshop, 5K, 10K and kids glow runs, water wars, air guitar contest, lip sync contest, tractor pull and much, much more! We have a Saturday evening parade that is the best around, followed by an amazing fireworks display and a street dance.
Honor and Tradition
The Crookston Ox Cart Days serves not only as a way to celebrate with friends and family, but also to honor our community heroes. Each year we have a ceremony to pay tribute and honor our local Veterans. This year we will also honor the Crookston Fire Department as they celebrate their 125th anniversary. There will be the traditional pancake feed hosted by our local firefighters as well as a water wars challenge and a kid’s carnival with games and prizes put on and sponsored by the Crookston Fire Department. We also salute Riverview Health as they graciously sponsor and run their 20th annual bed race. We strive to stay close to our traditions as we FIRE UP with some new and exciting activities thrown in to the party. Schedule us into your summer calendar, we are a small town with BIG plans that include YOU!
